    • Grafting: Grafted – Dwarfing Rootstock
    • Our trees are 26 – 30" tall and about one year old.
    • We grow our trees in a 4 inch square pot that is 14" tall. The pot is equivalent to a “1 gallon” capacity. This “sleeve” is perfect for shipping because you get the entire root ball and soil rather than “bare root.” Getting the soil with the tree greatly increases your success with your new citrus tree.
    • If temperatures are below 40°F between Florida and your location, I will recommend that we hold your order until the weather is warmer.
    • If you choose to ship before the weather warms, we do not offer a warranty for freeze damage in this situation.
    • We do NOT guarantee plants shipped during freezing weather and we do NOT offer refunds for freeze damage to your plants.
Dwarf trees are grafted onto a rootstock that limits the mature size of the tree to around 8 – 9 feet tall and wide compared to where standard rootstock trees will mature at between 12 – 15 feet tall and wide. The dwarf tree is also more suited to container growing because the rootstock will not outgrow the container as quickly as a standard grafted rootstock.

    Sugar Belle Tree – LB8-9 U.S. Patent PP21,356
The Sugar Belle tree was developed by the University of Florida, Sugar Belle is a hybrid cross between a Minneola (aka Honeybell tangelo) and a Spanish Clementine. It’s flavor is robust, distinct, and sweeter than the Minneola but with more acid. Sugar Belle also has 40% more Vitamin C than the Minneola and ripens 4-6 weeks ahead of the Minneola! Making this a good citrus variety for colder regions. Trees are very vigorous growing and after a couple years of establishment are showing good cold hardiness into the upper 20’s as well as great tolerance of HLB (citrus greening). Great fruit for juicing or eating. Bright orange, bell shaped fruit that’s easy to peel. Fruit ripens in November to January. A patent fee of $6 is included in the price.
