It's spreading canopy blocks sunlight and adds visual interest and beauty in your landscaping. It is hardy in zones 5-9, has a mature height of 60-75 feet tall and a spread of 40-50 feet. Sweetgum grow at a medium to fast rate with full sun as the ideal condition, in clay as well as sandy soil, and is moderately drought tolerant.
