- Our trees are 26 – 30" tall and about one year old.
- We grow our trees in a 4 inch square pot that is 14" tall. The pot is equivalent to a “1 gallon” capacity. This “sleeve” is perfect for shipping because you get the entire root ball and soil rather than “bare root.” Getting the soil with the tree greatly increases your success with your new citrus tree.
- If temperatures are below 40°F between Florida and your location, I will recommend that we hold your order until the weather is warmer.

The W. Murcott Mandarin is also known as Afourer. It is one of the oldest varieties of mandarins produced in Florida. It has a tendency to produce fruit in alternate years if the fruit is allowed to remain on the tree. It is more cold tolerant than other mandarins. It has a thin rind with bronze speckles around a deep orange juicy fruit which is easy to peel and separate the sections.
The trees are more cold tolerant than other mandarins and can be grown in containers in northern areas or in the ground in southern areas of the country.
If you live in a colder climate, simply plant them in a container. Bring your tree indoors near a sunny window, and let the intoxicating citrus scent brighten your home during cold winter days.
